Her birth date was March 29, 1985. She was born in Roswell New Mexican. Gerina Michelle was her maiden name. Gerina Stevenson has Mexican parents Rita Stevenson (mother) and Alan Stevenson (father). Stevenson is American and comes from a Mexican-American background. The desire to be a sportsperson was born as a kid. Gerina began playing golf when she was just 15 years old. Gerina went to Goddard High School for her secondary education. In high school she won at the New Mexico Golf State Tournament. Her volleyball skills were also acknowledged at the national scale. The year 2003 was the time she enrolled at the University of Texas. In her senior year she took home every single tournament she competed in. Through her college professional career, she took home her the Conference USA Individual Champion Player of the Year and UTEP Female athlete of the year.
