Amy Adams in full Amy Lou Adams (born 20th of August 1974 in Aviano Italy) American actress, particularly acclaimed for her critically-acclaimed portrayals of naive and charming characters. Adams began her career as a year old within Castle Rock Colorado. In the early 1990s, Adams began performing and dancing professionally with Boulder's Dinner Theatre as well as the Country Dinner Playhouse. She then moved to a regional theatre in Minnesota in which she was featured in a documentary mock-up concerning beauty pageants Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999). Her screen debut was a huge success with the role of an annoying but pleasant contestant, Janet relocated from Minnesota to Los Angeles where she began a professional acting career. Her husband was actor Tony Curtis from June 1951 until September 1962, and was the mother of Kelly Curtis and Jamie Lee Curtis. In the decade that followed she was in a variety of popular films including Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960) as well as Living It Up by Martin and Lewis (a 1954 film).
