Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci was born on November 12, 1961, in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti), Romania. Nadia is the Romanian Olympic gymnast. She has the record of being recognized with 10/10 scores in an Olympic competition. Bela Karrolyi was a Romanian gymnastics instructor who later became Comaneci's coach, first discovered Comaneci at the age of six. At first, she competed in the junior national championships of Romania in the year 1969, she finished 13th. Then in the year 1970, she won. Her first competition in the international arena was in 1972 a pre-Olympic junior event for countries of the communist bloc she took home three gold medals and in 1973 and 1974, she was an the all-around junior champion. Her first senior competition in the year 1975, she defeated Russian Lyudmila Turkishcheva. The five-time European champ winning four golds and one argent. She won the American Cup in New York City in 1976, becoming the first woman to perform a backward double salto as a dismount from the uneven bars parallel to each other. When she was in her teens she started appearing on traveling shows like Ice Capades as a skater alongside her younger sister Nina Wayne. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol ventured into the entertainment business in her teens. Her career began by joining her sister Nina Wayne to perform in Ice Capades, a traveling show of entertainment. The show featured stage-moving ice-skating performance.
