Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson is an American actress, who made headlines as the character Buffy Summers in the cult Buffy the Vampireslayer film. She was born in California and became interested in acting as an early child. She began her career working in the field of advertising, appearing in numerous commercials. Flowers in the Attic won her the Young Artist Award in the category of the Best Young Actress in Horror or Mystery Motion Picture in 1989.
