Jenna Fischer has become best well-known for her role as Pam Beesly, the character she played on The Office. For her role, Jenna received two SAG Awards in Outstanding Ensemble Comedy and an Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress.
Born in Fort Wayne Indiana, she was raised living in St. Louis Missouri. Jenna was a child who watched her mother Anne who was a church performer. It instilled in her a passion for theater.
Fischer is an actress who has theater training. The Off-Broadway production Reasons to be Happy composed by Neil LaBute with Josh Hamilton and Leslie Bibb as co-stars, Fischer was a part of. She then starred in Steve Martin's Meteor Shower - an absurdist production starring Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg - for the Old Globe Theatre's debut world premiere.
The Office co-star Angela Kinsey and Fischer created Office Ladies, a podcast on Earwolf in the month of October. The podcast has proven to be an enormous success, making the Top Ten worldwide every week, and receiving more than 200 million downloads within its first two-years. Office Ladies received the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Year Award in January 2021.
She is the writer of two books: The Actor's Life and a Survival Guide, in which she describes her journey through St. Louis to Hollywood in order to be a professional actor. She is also the author of Office BFF's: Tales of The Office from Two of the Best Friends That Were There (co-authored by Angela Kinsey) This book provides an account of their most memorable friendship and time working on The Office.
